Welcome to the world of the Angelheart Saga
Welcome to the website of YA author Annie Woods! This is the place to be if you’re looking for more information about the Angelheart Saga trilogy or about YA books in general.
I have been tagged by author M.C. Frank to do the Future Me tag together with the rest of the members of The Book Robin Hoods. (The Book Robin Hoods is an amazing initiative by M.C. Frank that connects authors and writers into a great community that shares the love for books. I really recommend all writers and reviewers to check it and join in the fun!)
This beautiful aesthetic board is from the original Future Me post by M.C. Frank, where she shares her hopes and dreams for the future after illness assaulted her a few years ago: The Robin Hood WIP diaries (15) - The writer + the future It’s such an emotional post about how M.C. Frank turned her dream into reality, so impressive! And sure makes you humble to answer the same questions, but I will nevertheless give it a try.
So here are my answers to the questions about my future and what I would like to tell myself when I am ten years older than my age right now:
What do you want your life to look like over ten years?
I’d love to be able to be a full-time writer, to have the luxury to only focus on my books and my writing. Right now I’m having another full-time job, and can only write every here and now when I have a spare minute. I also wish for my family to stay happy and healthy.
What do you want to ask to the future you?
“Are there any decisions that you regret? Anything you would change if you had the chance to do things differently?”
What do you want to have her remember?
All the happy moments with her family and friends. All the small things that perhaps didn’t seem important at the time, but in hindsight where the most important ones. Also, I really want her to remember everyone that supported her, cheered her on and helped her spread the word about her books already from the start.
Where do you think she’ll live?
I think she will live in New York or perhaps somewhere in SoCal. Right now I’m alternating between Sweden and New York, but I think we will move permanently to New York in a couple of years. But in ten years time, we might have moved on over to the West Coast to get more sun… Regardless of where she lives, I hope that she will have time to take long walks with her dog to get inspiration for her books (i.e. that she will no longer have another job besides being an author…) and that she will have travelled the world and checked off most places on her bucket list; walking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, climbing the Kilimanjaro, exploring the Great Wall and seeing the cherry blossom in Tokyo. One can always dream, right…?
What do you think she will miss the most about your life now?
Definitely having her children around. In ten years time her children have most likely moved out and have their own life.
What do you think she will be happy about she does not have any more what is present in your life?
I don’t know really. Perhaps I could answer “my job” here as well….? I do like my current job, but I would be really happy if I didn’t have to work full-time in the future, so I could focus all my energy on writing and participating more in the wonderful bookworm community.
I'm tagging anyone who liked the questions and want to participate! And don't forget to check out The Book Robin Hoods!
