Today is the start of “Give a Good Read Week” in honor of Little Free Library celebrating its 10th anniversary. To join the celebration, I have donated signed copies of my book First Came Forever to two bookcases here on Manhattan. One a couple a weeks ago in Freeman Plaza West (the blue “birdhouse”) and one inside The Leo Guesthouse on 332 West 23rd Street (the two old phone booths).
So, if you live in NYC, you can find my donated, signed copy of First Came Forever in here up for grabs! Just make sure to donate a book yourself in return.
The first Free Little Library book exchange was created by Todd Bol in 2009 in the front yard of his home as a tribute to his mother, a teacher. Now, ten years later, his beautiful idea has snowballed into the world’s largest book-sharing movement with more than 90,000 Little Free Library book exchanges in 91 countries! Click here for more info and a map where you can find out if there is a bookcase near where you live!
Reading gives you such an amazing opportunity to see the world through someone else’s eyes. Books are therefore a great means to making the world a more open-minded, emphatic and better place.
“I read so I can live more than one life in more than one place.” – Anne Tyler
That’s why diverse books are extra important, to share the experience and views from as many different aspects as possible.
It’s one of the reasons why I love to read diverse YA books, and especially books with LGBTQ representation. I also try my best to share and promote those books.
Reading books from an LGBTQ perspective gives you an understanding how hard it still is to come out, how much homophobia and discrimination there still is out there. Even though we have come a long way it’s unbelievable how much still remains to be done until everyone is guaranteed the unconditional right to love whomever their heart desires and to be true to who they are, without being afraid of retaliations.
My own books in the Angelheart Saga series also have LGBT representation, and I’m really proud of how many readers that have taken the gay characters in my books to their hearts. I’m passionate about fighting injustice, discrimination and homophobia. Gay rights are human rights! Period.
Since my books have LGBTQ representation I expect reviewers who contact me with a review request to share these fundamental values. But sadly, I have experienced reviewers who don’t. From now on, I therefore want to make it clear that I will not collaborate with or send copies of my books to anyone who has made hateful or condemning comments about LGBTQ individuals or has expressed homophobic opinions.
Please, let’s all help to make the book community on bookstagram and otherwise a kind, emphatic and loving place where we can all be who we are and share our love for books without any discrimination or negativity!
Don't miss this new opportunity to get signed copies of both books in the Angeheart Saga series! Head over to Berem s stilom on Facebook or Instagram to join! Open until September, 13th. GOOD LUCK!

One of my absolute favorite book blogs, Touch My Spine Book Reviews, recently posted this amazing review, Forever Disguised by Annie Woods 5 stars, saying that
“Annie Woods has done it again with the Angelheart Series! This book is filled with amazing characters and full of depth. I read this book twice in a row because I loved it so much. I give this book 5+++ Stars just like I did the first in this series, First Came Forever! I highly recommend this story to anyone whom loves a good YA story. I know when I was reading this story so much hit close to home and it hit every emotion that it could in the depths of my soul. I laughed, I cried, I smiled and even was on the edge of my seat with suspense! This is a #must-read for everyone. A book that hits you in all the feels!!!”
Yay, it’s true! I’ve finally finished the manuscript for the third and final book in the Angelheart Saga trilogy!
The manuscript has been sent to my publisher Pegasus Publishers now. I’m so excited for the process onwards with cover design, title reveal and all other fun stuff!
Hello my lovely friends and readers! As most of you know, I am currently writing on the third and final book in the Angelheart Saga series. Unfortunately, I have been delayed and am so far behind my schedule that I have decided to go on a writing hiatus for a couple of months.
To keep myself focused I feel that I need to take a step back from social media, bookstagram challenges, reviewing other books and all other fun things I tend to do instead of writing… and concentrate all of my time and energy solely on my writing.
But, it’s not bad news really! It means that I will be back soon and then with the final book about Erica, Sasha, Tyler, Danny and Ricky and all the others in the Angelheart Saga series!
Until then, take care all my wonderful bookworms and see you soon!
