The amazing book blog Darque Dreamer Reads recently posted a really awesome discussion post about the importance of reading books from Indie and lesser known authors. Some of the points made was that just because an author is published by a big publisher, like Macmillan or Penguin, doesn’t mean they are the best, hardest working author out there. Indie, and lesser known, authors work hard to get their voices heard. It takes guts in general to publish, or seek publishing for, your work, and anyone brave enough to do so definitely deserves a second look. In the post, Darque Dreamer Reads also did a recap of her year and listed her top reads 2017 and authors that deserve more love. I am so happy and proud that First Came Forever has been listed amongst the top reads and also as a Swoon Reads.

Darque Dreamer Reads just did this wonderful Fall Book Tag, where she listed her favorite autumn books for tags such as “Crisp Fall Air - A book that felt fresh and new”, “Howling Wind - an ending that blew you away”, “Bright Colors, - a cover with red, orange or yellow” and “Pumpkin Spice - your most anticipated read”. For the tag “Comfy Sweaters - a book that gave you the warm and fuzzy’s” the choice was First Came Forever. So happy, really getting all the warm and fuzzy feels! First Came Forever was recently listed by The Introverted Book Nerd in the same book tag as well, with this description:
"First Came Forever by Annie Woods. Oh my, did I fall in love with this book! I’m still surprised I love a contemporary romance as much as I do! Ugh. This book gave me all the feels." The tag was created by Shanah from Bionic Book Worm who’s also done all the graphics. Darque Dreamer Reads recently made this really fun book tag for The Burn, Rewrite, Reread Book Tag, where she choose three books for each round and for each such round decided which one of the three books to burn, which one to rewrite, and which to reread (a lot like Kiss, Marry, Kill). In the fourth round the result was (in order, Burn, Rewrite, Reread): “Revenant: Blood Justice just had too much that I did not enjoy. The Girl From the Well had a great premise, but story felt muddled. First Came Forever is one of my new favorites that I look forward to rereading before book 2 comes out!!” So happy that First Came Forever was included in this fun book tag, and that it was selected as the Reread choice. So wonderful to learn that it is one of Darque Dreamer Reads' new favorite to reread!
Tea With Rose's Tomes has a new book tag called The Bookshelf Tour. Every three or four months she will be doing a post of her bookshelf, to show how it evolves and to talk about old and new favorites. I am so happy that First Came Forever (The Angelheart Saga #1) is included in her bookshef as one of the new favorites. Click here to view the review Tea With Rose's Tomes did for it a while ago.
