Today is the start of “Give a Good Read Week” in honor of Little Free Library celebrating its 10th anniversary. To join the celebration, I have donated signed copies of my book First Came Forever to two bookcases here on Manhattan. One a couple a weeks ago in Freeman Plaza West (the blue “birdhouse”) and one inside The Leo Guesthouse on 332 West 23rd Street (the two old phone booths). So, if you live in NYC, you can find my donated, signed copy of First Came Forever in here up for grabs! Just make sure to donate a book yourself in return.
The first Free Little Library book exchange was created by Todd Bol in 2009 in the front yard of his home as a tribute to his mother, a teacher. Now, ten years later, his beautiful idea has snowballed into the world’s largest book-sharing movement with more than 90,000 Little Free Library book exchanges in 91 countries! Click here for more info and a map where you can find out if there is a bookcase near where you live!

What I love about the idea of “Give a Good Read Week” is the fact that it gives everyone the chance to read the books they want to read without spending any amount. I guess, that's a pretty good aim because there are lots of kids who do not have enough money to buy books they want to read. By the way, huge thanks for your donation. It may be a small thing for you to give book, but it means a lot to those who need it so bad!
